At 2 pm today, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal is slated to interact with more than 1000 school principals to discuss the changes to be executed in the CBSE curriculum and school process from the academic session 2021-22. The Minister is also expected to discuss the role of schools in the implementation of NEP 2020 (New Education Policy).
Note: In a recent update, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has declared that the CBSE board examination 2021 schedule for Class 10 and Class 12 will be declared on next Tuesday, 2 February 2021. He further added that CBSE will be digitalizing the 45-year records of the students.

In a statement available on CBSE HQ’s twitter, the Union Minister has stated, “I am hopeful that my interaction will create adequate awareness and motivation among the teaching community which will take this mission forward with the stakeholders for uniform implementation of NEP 2020.”
Further, CBSE has informed that following this discussion, the board will “steer the orientation programs for its stakeholders to create awareness about NEP 2020 through more than 250 active CBSE Sahodaya School clusters around the country.”
Meanwhile, the CBSE affiliated schools are preparing themselves for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations. Previously, the Union Education Minister had declared that the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will be conducted from May 4 to June 10, 2021. However, the detailed date sheets are yet to be released. It is expected that CBSE will release the official board examination date sheet in the month of March.
Important announcements regarding NEET 2021 are also expected anytime soon. A high-level meeting regarding NEET has already been conducted in the presence of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan to discuss whether or not NEET-UG should be conducted more than once a year in CBT mode. However, there has been no satisfactory conclusion to the discussion. It is expected that another meeting on the same issue shall be conducted within a week.
