BHU Admission Entrance Results – Revised Dates, Checking Scores  

The official governing body of the BHU Entrance Exam has announced that the BHU UET and PET 2020 exams will now be conducted between 16th August to 31st August 2020. Previously, the exams were scheduled to be conducted on the 26th April 2020 and 10th May 2020 respectively. However, if the current Covid 19 situation is aggravated, candidates may expect the exam dates to be revised again.

The BHU entrance exam is a gateway for candidates to get admissions in the various affiliated institutes of Bharat Hindu University. Aspiring candidates seeking admission in undergraduate programmes must pass the UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) to appear for the counselling and get admissions according to their merit rank. On the other hand, postgraduate candidates must also clear a qualifying exam known as the PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test) to get a seat in BHU. BHU offers a galore of undergraduate courses which includes the likes of B.Sc, B.Com, B.A, B.Ed, B.F.A and several language programmes. BHU Admission Entrance Results 

Banaras Hindu University is expected to release the result of the BHU entrance exam for both UET and PET in the first/second week of October 2020 (tentatively). It is crucial to know that now that the lockdown has been extended beyond the 3rd of May, the exam schedule would be revised completely. 

Candidates who will appear for the UET and PET have to check their results on the official website of ‘BHU’. The selection will be made on the basis of merit and category of the candidates and eligible candidates will be called for counselling for the allotment of seats. BHU exam authority will also send the result on the mentioned email ID and mobile number of the candidates.

BHU Admission Entrance Results – How can Candidates Evaluate their Scores?

BHU releases a provisional answer key after the entrance exam. Candidates may cross check their answers and predict their scores. It is crucial to know that the aspirants may also file objections on the answers mentioned in the  provisional answer keys. After the candidates file their objections,  the BHU exam committee verifies the objections and prepares the final answer key before the declaration of the result. For every correct answer, 3 marks are awarded whereas 1 mark is deducted for every wrong attempt.

BHU Admission Entrance Results – Tie Breaker in the Merit List

If two candidates belonging to the same category score exactly the same marks in the entrance test, then the preference is given to the candidate who has scored more marks in the qualifying exam. For eg – 12th aggregate marks for undergraduate entrance test and UG aggregate marks for the post-graduate entrance test. In case of exactly the same marks in the previous qualifying result, preference is given to the candidate who has scored more marks in the specific subject. For eg- if the applied course is B.A ( English), then marks of the english subject will be considered.

After the declaration of BHU Entrance Exam results, eligible candidates wait for the declaration of the cutoff. Further process is mentioned below:

  1. Eligible candidates who secure a qualifying cutoff rank are invited for the counselling process. 
  2. Aspirants must register for the counselling process and fill the online preference entry for colleges. 
  3. Candidates are invited for the counselling process according to their merit and category.
  4. Aspirants must physically appear at the counselling centre along with the scorecard/result, admit card of the exam, registration letter of the counselling and also with prerequisite documents.
  5. If the candidate is allotted a seat, then he/she must collect the provisional admission letter and finally appear at the allotted campus for fee payment and a few remaining formalities.
