New Delhi, 3 March 2023 – Bank of India Recruitment 2023 – Bank of India (BOI) has announced the date for the Probationary Officer (PO) exam. The PO online examination will be held on 19 March 2023. Candidates can read the official notice on the bank’s official website.
This recruitment drive will fill 500 vacancies, 350 of which are for Credit Officer positions in the General Banking stream and 150 for IT Officer positions in the Specialist stream.
The application procedure, which began on 11 February, concluded on 25 February 2023.

Bank of India Recruitment 2023 – Probationary Officer Posts – Selection Process
The selection process entails an online examination, a group discussion, and a personal interview.
Online Examination
Candidates must undergo the following tests:
- English Language – This test will comprise of 35 questions and a maximum score of 40. The test must be completed in 40 minutes.
- Reasoning and Computer Aptitude – This test will have 45 questions and a maximum score of 60. The examination will last 60 minutes.
- General/Economy/Banking Awareness – This test will include 40 questions and a maximum score of 40. The test must be finished in 35 minutes.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation – This section will comprise of 35 questions and a maximum score of 60. There is a 45-minute time limit for the exam.
- English Descriptive paper (Letter Writing & Essay) – This part will include two questions and a maximum score of 25. The test’s completion time for the candidates is 30 minutes.
Note: As a penalty, one-fourth of the marks assigned to each question for which the applicant provided an inaccurate answer will be deducted.
Interview
- Bank of India will conduct in-person interviews with all selected candidates. The interview will be evaluated with a total of 60 marks.
- The minimum qualifying marks for candidates from the General / Economically Weaker Section (EWS) will be 40%, and 35% for candidates from the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / OBC / (Person with Disability) PWD.
Group Discussion
- Aspirants selected through an online test will take part in a group discussion at various locations. It is worth a total of 40 marks.
- General / EWS candidates must score 40%, while SC / ST / OBC / PWD candidates must obtain 35%.
Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF)
- Before being inducted or absorbed into the bank, candidates must complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) programme.
- The INR 3,50,000 + GST PGDBF course lasts one year. The bank will reimburse the candidates for the total course fee after five years of service as a regular employee with the organisation.
