Agnipath Scheme – Navy Agniveer Registration Begins; Check Details, How To Apply

New Delhi, 1st July 2022 – Agnipath scheme recruitment for Navy Agniveers kicks off today – 1 July 2022 – as scheduled. The Indian Navy will commence the registration for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) and Matric Recruitment (MR) through the recruitment drive. Interested candidates can apply for these Navy Agniveer posts on the official website of the Indian Navy – joinindiannavy.gov.in.

The Armed Forces recruitment drive is already underway in the Indian Air Force and Indian Army. As per the Agnipath scheme 2022, a total of 46,000 Agniveers will be recruited this year. Plus, 3000 of these will be recruited by the Navy.

Agnipath Recruitment – How To Apply for Indian Navy?

Candidates can only apply online for the Agnipath Recruitment Scheme. They are also advised to keep their matric certificate and 10+2 mark sheets ready before registering. Once these are acquired, follow the steps given below to apply:

  • Visit the official website of the Indian Navy – joinindiannavy.org.in.
  • Click on the ‘Register’ tab at the top.
  • Register using Email ID. 
  • Login with the registered Email ID and Password.
  • Click on ‘Current Opportunities’.
  • Select Agniveer recruitment.
  • Fill the application form.
  • Upload the necessary documents and click on ‘Submit’. 
  • Save and print out for future reference.

At all stages of recruitment, candidates will be required to bring the original documents that were uploaded during the online registration. These include Mark Sheets, Domicile Certificate, and NCC Certificate (if applicable). The candidate’s Aadhar card is also mandatory and will be checked at all stages of recruitment.

Agniveer Recruitment – What is the Selection Procedure for Navy Agniveers?

Indian Navy Agniveer candidates will be required to clear the written examination as well as pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) that will be held at the discretion of the Indian Navy. 

“Candidates who have passed PFT will be considered for preparation of merit list based on marks obtained in written examination,” as per the official notification on the Indian Navy website. 

Call up letters cum admit card will have to be downloaded from the official Indian Navy website when they’re available, and only electronic mode of communication will be used when contacting the candidates. 

Selected candidates for the posts of SSR and MR will be called to INS Chilka for recruitment medicals. If the candidate fails to report on the date and time mentioned in the call letter, his/her candidature will stand canceled.
