SBI SO 2021 Applications Reopened, Form Available Online till 28 July

New Delhi, 15 June 2021 – The State Bank of India (SBI) has re-opened the filing of SBI SO application form and payment of fees today. Candidates who are interested in the post of Engineer (Fire), and missed their chance of applying for the SBI SO (Specialist Officer) recruitment exam earlier, can fill and submit the online application form, available till 28 July 2021. 

Note: Applicants who have already applied for SBI SO 2021 in between 22 Dec 2020 and 27 Jan 2021, do not need to re-apply. Their candidature will be considered valid for recruitment for the post of Engineer (Fire).

SBI SO 2021 – Revised Educational Qualifications and Experience Criteria

  1. BE (Fire) from National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur 

OR 

  1. B.Tech/B.E. (Safety & Fire Engineering) 

OR 

  1. B.Tech/B.E. (Fire Technology & Safety Engineering) 

OR 

  1. B.Sc. (Fire) from UGC recognised university/AICTE approved institution or an equivalent four-year degree in fire safety from UGC recognised university/AICTE approved institution 

OR 

  1. Graduate from Institute of Fire Engineers (India/UK) 

OR 

  1. Should have completed Divisional Officers Course from National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur.
Essential Experience

  1. If educational qualification is B.E. (Fire) from National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur OR B.Tech/ B.E. (Safety & Fire Engineering) OR B.Tech /B.E. (Fire Technology & Safety Engineering) OR B.Sc. (Fire) from UGC recognised university/ AICTE approved institution or equivalent Four-year degree in fire safety from UGC recognised university/ AICTE approved institution: No separate practical experience is required. 
  2. If educational qualification is Graduate from Institute of Fire Engineers (India/UK) or Divisional Officers from National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur: Composite experience of minimum 3 years as a Station Officer or equivalent post in City Fire Brigade/ State Fire Service/ Incharge Fire Officer in Corporates/ Big Industrial Complex or as a Fire Officer in State/ Central Government/ PSUs, is required. 

Essential skills required

Candidate should be well versed with fire safety norms and state/central government rules and regulations in fire safety and security. 

Specific skills required

Candidate should have intimate knowledge of Fire Prevention and Protection System such as Hydrant System, Fire Detection System, Sprinkler System etc. He/ She should also have knowledge of evacuation problem and Fire Audit.

Step 2 – In the search bar, type ‘SBI SO advertisement No. CRPD/SCO-FIRE/2020-21/32’. 

Step 3 – Click on CURRENT OPENINGS

Step 4 – Again, click on ‘Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO-FIRE/2020-21/32’ mentioned under ‘RECRUITMENT OF SPECIALIST CADRE OFFICERS IN SBI ON REGULAR BASIS – ENGINEER (FIRE)’ 

How to fill SBI SO application form 2021

Step 5 – Now, click on ‘Apply Online’

Step 6 – Fill in all the necessary details, as required, in the application form

Step 7 – Upload all the required scan copies of documents

Step 8 – Pay the SBI SO application fee

Step 9 – Finally, press on ‘Final Submit’
