In view of the rising COVID cases across the nation, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has permitted the Class 10 and 12 board students to change their CBSE exam centres for both practical and theoretical exams by 25 March 2021. Post this, schools will have to upload the requests for exam centre changes by students on the official CBSE website by 31 March 2021. This move has especially been taken after considering the cases of innumerable students who have shifted to varying parts of the country along with their families due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The official notice reads, “Because of COVID pandemic, some students of Class 10, Class 12 along with their families have shifted to some other city or country and therefore, they are unable to appear for the practical examination or theory examination from the examination centre from where the students are registered for board examinations. Looking into the problem, CBSE has decided to permit the change in examination centre.”
CBSE Board Exam 2021 Centre Change – Important Points
- Students who wish to change the exam centre to their respective schools, will have to inform the schools about the city from which they wish to appear for the board exam 2021
- After this, the schools will login to the school accounts on the CBSE website and proceed to submit the requests by their students along with name of the students, roll number, change required for theory exams, change required for practical exams, required city/country etc.
- The exam centre, if changed, will be to one city for both practical and theory exams.
- Only one request per student will be entertained. Hence, schools must submit the requests carefully.
