Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday launched the Abhyudaya scheme to start free coaching for NEET, IITJEE, NDA, CDS or UPSC examinations in the state. Addressing some of the students selected under the Abhyudaya scheme through video conferencing, the Chief Minister said, “Coaching under the scheme will begin from tomorrow (i.e., 16 February). I want to assure everyone that these classes will help aspirants achieve their goals.”
He further highlighted that the Abhyudaya scheme shall provide holistic development to students through coaching facilities similar to that of Kota and Prayagraj. The scheme will benefit the students in other parts of Uttar Pradesh who are not able to avail coaching facilities.
The inspiration behind Abhyudaya free coaching scheme is the Kota crisis which happened last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, over 30,000 students belonging to UP, who were undertaking coaching in Kota, got stuck in the city after the coronavirus outbreak. The UP government had to make preparations to bring these students back home safely. Keeping the issues faced by the students in mind, CM Yogi had announced that no student from the state will have to leave UP to get coaching for JEE, NEET and other competitive exams in the future.
