Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has made a big announcement regarding the VITEEE 2020. The governing body of the exam has cancelled the exam for the session 2020 . Previously, VITEEE was set to be conducted from July 29 to August 2, 2020. The exam authority made the big decision in wake of the increasing cases of Covid 19 in India. The candidates will now be granted admissions based on the marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent. Also, Weightage will be given to the JEE scores (if applicable). The governing body has also urged the aspirants to make the appropriate changes in their respective application forms at the earliest.

VITEEE Exam Dates – Time Slots for VITEEE 2020
Vellore Institute of Technology generally conducts VITEEE in three different time slots in a day. As, VIT has decided to cancel the VITEEE 2020, this year the exam won’t take place. VIT conducts VITEEE for 5 consecutive days in three different time slots. These time slots are mentioned in the table below.

Vellore Institute of Technology has announced the cancellation of the VITEEE 2020. 1. Application form submission – VIT released the VITEEE 2020 application form on September 27, 2019. Initially, the last date for application form submission notified by the institute was March 22. This date got extended as the VITEEE exam dates got postponed. Vellore Institute of Technology is yet to announce the application form submission deadline. Candidates can fill the online application form until the officially announced last date.
2. Booking of VITEEE slots – VIT provides an opportunity for booking the desired slots for VITEEE. Candidates will be able to choose the VITEEE exam date and time slot using this facility.
3. Release of admit card – Candidates can download the VITEEE admit card right after the completion of the slot booking process. However, there is no compulsion to download the admit card immediately after completing the slot booking process.
4. VITEEE exam dates – Previously, VIT has decided to cancel the VITEEE 2020. The admissions will now be granted on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent exam (accepted by the governing body).
5. Declaration of VITEEE result – Vellore Institute of Technology declares the VITEEE result within a month of the exam. Candidates must check the VITEEE result in an online mode by using their login credentials generated at the time of registration.
6. Commencement of VITEEE counselling – Soon after the release of the result, VIT commences the VITEEE counselling for the qualified candidates. Based on the ranks of the candidates, VIT calls the candidates for the offline counselling.

VIT had earlier decided to conclude the application form submission process on March 22. However, due to the extension of the VITEEE exam dates, VIT decided to extend the last date to apply. The extended last date for VITEEE application form will be notified soon. However, candidates can submit the application form online until VIT notifies the deadline.
Candidates can appear for VITEEE 2020 only once during an admission cycle. Candidates appearing twice by booking multiple exam slots of VITEEE 2020 will be disqualified in the later stages.
