XAT Result – Important Dates, How to Download, Expected Cutoffs

XAT 2021 Result will be announced by XLRI Jamshedpur through their official website. The result for XAT 2021 is expected to be announced around the third week of January 2021. The XAT 2021 result will contain necessary information regarding the candidate’s performance such as number of marks secured, total percentage and percentile score. 

To be able to check the XAT 2021 result in the form of a scorecard, candidates will have to enter their login credentials created at the time of XAT registration. Without a valid login ID and password, no candidate will be able to check the XAT 2021 result. 

Before the announcement of XAT result 2021, XLRI Jamshedpur will issue the answer key with the help of which the candidates will be able to challenge any discrepancy and calculate their expected scores. The selection process of XAT 2021 will begin shortly after the declaration of XAT 2021 result. 

Important Update- XLRI Jamshedpur is expected to open the registration for the XAT 2021 from the last week of August 2020 (tentatively).

XAT Result 2021 – Important Dates 

The national-level entrance exam Xavier Aptitude Test i.e. XAT is conducted once every year to provide admissions to aspirants in numerous management programmes in India. As per the XAT 2021 tentative schedule, the computer-based examination will be conducted by the first week of January 2021. Eligible candidates who plan to fill the XAT 2021 application form can register by the fourth week of August 2020. Post that, the admit card will be available by the last week of December 2020. Before XAT 2021 Result Declaration

Before the announcement of the XAT 2021 result, XLRI will issue a response sheet and an answer sheet. Candidates who encounter any discrepancies in their question paper can challenge the answer key by the second week of January 2021.

XAT Result 2021 – Steps to Download 

Results of XAT 2021 will be available online on the official website. XAT 2021 results will be available by the third week of January 2021 (tentative). A step-by-step procedure to download the XAT result of 2021 is mentioned below:

Detailed step by step procedure to download the scorecard of XAT 2021 is given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website

Candidates have to visit the official site of XLRI Jamshedpur i.e. xlri.ac.in for the XAT 2021 result. The result is expected to be released by the third week of January 2021.

Step 2: Enter application no./registered ID and password

Candidates must have a valid XAT 2021 registration ID and password. On the official website, candidates are required to enter their login credentials in order to download their XAT 2021 result.

Step 3: Click on “Score Card” tab

After entering the login details, candidates will be redirected to a new page where a tab scorecard will appear. Click on the tab “scorecard” to check the result.

Step 4: XAT 2021 result will appear on the screen

After entering the correct login details as mentioned, XAT result 2021 status will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Download and print XAT result

Candidates are required to download the result of XAT 2021 as proof for future references. Candidates must keep an extra photocopy of the XAT 2020 result in case of a software failure.

XAT Result – XAT Scorecard 2021

XAT result 2021 will be released in the form of a scorecard by XLRI Jamshedpur. Details regarding the personal information of the candidate, XAT 2021 ID, date of the test, total percentage and percentile score etc., will be mentioned on each scorecard. Candidates are required to check the scorecard of XAT 2020 which is displayed in the picture below.

Candidates will be able to see the below-mentioned details in XAT 2021 result/scorecard:

  1. Name of the candidate
  2. Gender and date of birth
  3. Address details
  4. XAT 2021 ID
  5. Date of the test
  6. Validity period of XAT result 2021
  7. Sectional percentage and percentile
  8. Total percentage and percentile
  9. Signature of the chairperson of admissions

XAT Result – How XAT Percentile is Calculated?

  • In XAT, each question carries 1 mark. A deduction of 0.25 marks will be there for each wrong answer.
  • Beyond 8 unanswered questions, 0.05 marks will be deducted for each unanswered question.
  • The percentage or percentile of GK will be calculated separately and not included in the total percentage or percentile.

XAT Result – Shortlisting of Candidates

XLRI will issue a list of shortlisted candidates within a day or two of the result declaration. S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research announces the shortlist twice – first, based on the profile of the candidates and then,on the basis of the XAT scores. Only the candidates obtaining a score equal to or more than the minimum cut off percentile in XAT will be shortlisted.

Institutes like IMT, XIMB, TAPMI, GIM, Great Lakes, and LIBA among others announce their shortlisted candidates a few days post the declaration of the result.

XAT Result – Previous Year Toppers

XAT 2020 results were announced by XLRI on January 16, 2020. Candidates could access their final result and scorecard available on the official website. Although a lot of candidates scored above percentile score of 90, no candidate obtained a percentile score of 100. The total percentile score is computed after calculating the candidate’s sectional percentile in quantitative ability, verbal ability and logical reasoning, and decision-making. ✔️ Is XAT more difficult than CAT?

Both XAT and CAT are difficult exams and have different sections with different levels of complexity. On the other hand, CAT is more competitive than XAT which makes it more difficult to crack.

✔️ Is the GK score added to the final XAT score?

No. The marks of the GK section are not included in the final XAT score.

✔️ Is the General Knowledge section evaluated for the final percentile?

No, XLRI does not consider the General Knowledge scores while calculating the final percentile for XAT. The scores of the GK section are not considered for calling the candidates for the interview round.
