UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams – Postponement Likely Due to COVID-19

The Uttar Pradesh Board Exam 2021 schedule for Classes 10 and 12 is expected to be pushed further due to the crucial COVID-19 situation in the state. As per sources, 17 out of 19 UP board exam officials have been tested positive for COVID-19. Under such circumstances, the UP board as well as the state government are keeping a watchful eye on the rising coronavirus cases in the state, so they are able to take a wise decision at the right time. In the meanwhile, UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma has stated that the decision on examination dates is likely to be taken by the board soon. 

Earlier, the UP Board exams 2021 for high school and intermediate were re-scheduled from 24 April to 8 May. The exams were then further postponed to 20 May 2021. 

Scholarship Registration, Find New Scholarship

The Uttar Pradesh Government has also delayed the college and university exams in the state till 15 May. This decision was taken in the first week of May. Back then, UP Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma has mentioned in his social media post that – “In view of the coronavirus spread, secondary education board’s (UPMSP) proposed exams from May 8 have been postponed till May 20 and university, college exams have been postponed till May 15. A decision on exams will be taken in the first week of May.”

Note: A total of 29,94,312 students registered to appear for the UP Board Class 10 examination, and as many as 26,09,501 students are registered for UP Board Class 12 examination. 

Students must note that the decision on the further postponement of UP board exams will completely depend on the prevailing pandemic conditions. In the meanwhile, the students must focus their attention on better preparation for their exams.
