New Delhi, 26 May 2021 – Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) is all set to conduct the UP Board Class 10, 12 board exams 2021. As per media reports, UP Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma has informed that all the arrangements for the UP board exams are in place and the state is waiting for the final approval from the central government.
The UP Deputy CM further said, “We have already printed the papers, made sets of decoded copies, and allocated 8,513 centers to follow social distancing during examinations. We’re analysing COVID situation. We’ll discuss with the CM and the final decision will likely be taken by the end of this month.”
Additionally, the UP Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh stated that the health department will check the safety arrangements at the exam centres once the education department will finalise the dates for Class 12 board exams.
This information has come days after the government’s high-level meeting held on 23 May 2021. The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of conducting CBSE board exams 2021. In the meeting, various other options regarding assessment, duration process, and timings of the exams were also discussed. However, even after a broad consensus on the high-level meeting points, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal sought feedback from the states and union territories in writing by May 25, 2021.
UP Board Class 10, 12 Exams 2021 – Higher Officials Issued Guidelines for Results
On 19 May 2021, the Uttar Pradesh board had asked the schools to upload the results of Class 10 and Class 12 pre-board and half-yearly exam results on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP). In addition, the UPMSP Secretary, Divya Kant Shukla had also issued a letter to all the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) directing them to instruct all the principals of the schools to upload all the information on the board’s website by May 18.
Notably, more than 56 lakh candidates have registered for the UPMSP Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021. Out of the total registered students, 29,94,312 have applied for UP Board Class 12 Board Exam 2021 and 26,09,501 for UP Board Class 10 Board Exam 2021. This year, the UP Board will hold exams based on a syllabus slashed by 30 percent due to the loss of instructional hours.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government postponed the Class 10, 12 board exams till May 8, 2021, in the wake of the panchayat elections. Later, the board deferred the exams for the second time due to the spike in COVID-19 cases across the country.
