New Delhi, 7 June 2021 – Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will hold an important meeting to decide the UP Board evaluation criteria today. This meeting on UP board marks evaluation criteria 2021 will be held with several district-level officials from 2:00 PM onwards via video conference.
Note: In order to arrive at a set formula for assessment of Class 10 and 12 marks, Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma had called for a meeting with UP Board officials on Thursday, 3rd June 2021.
UP Board 10th and 12th Result 2021 – Agenda for Today’s Meeting
In today’s meeting, the UP Board district-level officials will discuss and decide on the modalities and formula, based on which, marks will be awarded to UP Board Class 10 and 12 students. This meeting will be held via video conferencing, comprising high-level committee members. (The committee will be made up of Joint Secretary Education, Vipin Kumar; Commissioners of the Kendriya and Navodaya Vidyalayas, representatives from the CBSE, and UGC.)
The highly anticipated UPMSP evaluation criterion is expected to be finalized after today’s meeting. Based on the final (decided) evaluation criteria, students can calculate their individual scores and results.
Suggestions from Parents, Students, and Other Stakeholders
The UP board has asked the district school inspectors to get valid suggestions on the compilation formula of the board results. The inspectors have asked for suggestions from representatives of:
- Unaided school
- Government schools
- Private schools
Besides the school representatives, parents and other organizations have also been invited to share their opinions on the same.
After compiling the opinions and suggestions, the representatives will have to share them via email to UPMPS at upboardexamination2021@gmail.com by noon 12 PM today.
UP Board 12th Result 2021 – Tentative Assessment Formula
In the meanwhile, a tentative assessment formula has been finalized for UP Board Class 12 results. According to the proposed formula:
- The marking system for Class 12 students will be based on the average marks that students have obtained in Class 10 and 11 final exams.
- If Class 11 (final exam) marks are not available, the board will consider the marks obtained in the pre-board (of Class 10) examination.
- For Class 12 students belonging to regular and private schools – If the Class 10 and 11 marks are not available, they would be promoted with pass certificates only.
UP Board 10th Result 2021 – Tentative Evaluation Criteria
Similar to Class 12 (tentative) evaluation criteria, the UP board has tentatively decided to use an average of marks scored in Class 9 (final exam) and pre-board exams (of Class 10) for Class 10 students. If Class 9 final exam marks and Class 10 pre-board marks are unavailable, the students will be promoted to the next class (i.e., Class 11) with pass certificates only.
Students must note that the final decision on Class 10 and Class 12 evaluation criteria will only be implemented by the UP board after the resolution is announced in today’s meeting.
