SNAP Exam Pattern – Section-Wise Suggested Time

As per the exam pattern, SNAP test comprises questions from three sections. Although there is no official sectional time allotted by the authorities, candidates must divide the total time duration on their own, based on the difficulty level of each section. Also, candidates must keep some time reserved for the revision of the SNAP exam.

As per the SNAP 2020 exam pattern, all the three sections of SNAP are structured differently. The three sections from which questions would be asked in SNAP 2020 are –

SNAP Exam Pattern – General English

According to the SNAP exam pattern 2020, the General English section consists of a total of 34 questions. Questions in General English will be objective-type only. All the questions in the General English section of SNAP have an equal amount of marks weightage.

SNAP Exam Pattern – Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Sufficiency

This particular section is unique amongst all the other sections. The Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency will have the least weightage in terms of marks but will require extra time than the other two sections. SIU designs this section with both multiple-choice questions and non-MCQ special questions.

SNAP Exam Pattern – FAQs

✔️ In what mode will SNAP 2020 be conducted?

Symbiosis International University will conduct the SNAP 2020 in online mode only. No other mode is available for taking the SNAP test.

✔️ How will I have to answer the special questions in the Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency section online?

As per the SNAP exam pattern, there are a total of five special questions in Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency section. The special questions will not have multiple choices. Candidates will be provided a virtual keyboard on which they need to type the answer of the question. For example – What are the last two digits of the number 655? To answer this question, you will have to type by using the virtual keyboard.

✔️ Is there any negative marking in SNAP 2020?

Yes, as per the last years’ trends, the SNAP exam pattern 2020 will also include a negative marking of -25% for every incorrect response. If the marks awarded for a correct response is 1, then the negative marks will be 0.25 whereas if the marks awarded for a correct response is 1.5, then the negative marks will be 0.375.

✔️ Will SNAP 2020 have a GK section?

No. The General Knowledge section has been removed from the SNAP syllabus by SIU in 2019.

✔️ Can I take the SNAP 2020 in any other language?

No. Candidates will not be given any medium preference for taking SNAP 2020. As per the SNAP test structure, the exam will be held in an English medium only.
