The National Testing Agency or NTA released the UGC NET Answer Key 2020 on 5th November 2020. The exam governing body released the question papers, marked responses of the candidates along with the provisional answer keys on the official website- ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the test must use their login credentials to successfully download the answer key.Β
Candidates can also file objections on the UGC NET provisional answer key, through online mode with credible supporting evidence/material of the challenged question. The window to file objections on the provisional answer key will remain open from 5th November 2020 to 7th November 2020. For every objection filed, candidates are required to pay a processing fee of INR 1000. The processing fee will be refunded to the candidate provided the challenged answer is found to be correct by the experts. The fee payment can be done through payment gateway, credit card, debit card and net banking methods approved by the website. No challenge will be considered valid, if the receipt of the processing fee is not generated.
UGC Answer Key 2020 –Β How to download the provisional answer key?
1. Visit the official website of UGC NET 2020.
2. Click on the tab mentioning view question papers and provisional answer key.
3. You will be instantly directed to a page wherein you must enter the following credentials – UGC NET application number, date of birth and security pin. Further, click on the login tab.
4. The page containing personal details of the candidate will be displayed on the screen; from here you can download the provisional answer key and the individual response sheet as well.
Further, candidates can also file their objections against the answers in the provisional answer key. You must submit adequate evidence to support your claimed answer correction. Finally, pay the processing fee of INR 1000 per answer challenged through the available payment methods. If your claim is found to be correct, then the answer would be corrected in the final answer key and your marks will be retained for the specific answer.
UGC NET 2020 – Overview
The National Testing Agency, on behalf of the University Grants commission (UGC), conducts the UGC NET. The exam is conducted for the posts of assistant professor and teacher in colleges throughout the country. The UGC NET 2020 is scheduled to be conducted from September 24, 2020 and the last date of exam would be November 13, 2020. The exam is conducted for 55 subjects and is held twice a year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UGC had to postpone the UGC NET 2020 June exams and thus the UGC NET 2020 is being conducted from September to November 2020.
