NMAT by GMAC Eligibility 2020 - College-Wise Criteria, Important Points

The eligibility requirements for NMAT by GMAC differ from one institute to another. This means that all the participating colleges which accept the NMAT by GMAC scores prescribe their individual eligibility criteria for admission. However, before looking into the eligibility guidelines of the preferred institutes, candidates must fulfil the most basic eligibility criteria for NMAT, as laid down by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council). As per this basic eligibility requirement, candidates holding a graduate degree (or those in the final year) from a recognised institution/college with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply.

NMAT by GMAC eligibility criteria of different universities and schools are defined on the basis of several parameters like educational qualification, minimum marks requirement, and work experience (in some of the colleges). It is mandatory for candidates to meet the eligibility of NMAT by GMAC, else their candidature is at the risk of cancellation at any stage of the admission process.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – College-Wise Criteria

All the candidates who wish to take admission in any of the following participating institutes have to meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of their choice of college.

Note: The GMAC authorities have not set any upper age limit to apply for MBA programmes in any of the NMAT by GMAC participating colleges.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies

Course Name	Criteria
MBA/MBA HR/MBA Decision Science and Analytics	Candidates must have completed graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks.
MBA in Pharmaceutical Management	Only those candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medical Technology, MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Biotechnology from a recognized University with at least 50% marks can apply. Also, candidates with B.Tech., Bio-Tech, Bio-Medical or B.E. BioTech./Bio-Medical are also eligible. Those who have two years of work experience in Pharmaceutical Companies will be given preference.
PGDM	Candidates who have completed graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks will be eligible for admission. However, those willing to apply in Mumbai campus for this course must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or Economics with a minimum of 55% marks.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Indian School of Business (ISB)

Academic Qualification –

Candidates having a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Science or equivalent qualification in any discipline with exposure to Mathematics/programming will be considered eligible for admission.

Work Experience –

Candidates must have at least two years of full-time work experience as on the date of admission (however, the desired experience is four to six years or more).
Also, fresher’s with an analytic bent of mind and excellent academic credentials will also be considered.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – SPJIMR

Post Graduate Management Programme for Women (PGMPW)	Female candidates with a graduation degree in any discipline will be considered eligible. Also, they must have a full-time work experience of at least four years (experience in team handling will be given due weightage).

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – SDA Bocconi Asia Center (formerly MISB Bocconi)

Candidates with a graduation degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks will be eligible for admission in this institute through GMAC by NMAT.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – ICFAI Business School (IBS)

For MBA and PGPM admission in ICFAI IBS, candidates must hold a graduation degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Master’s Union School of Business

Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline can apply for admission.
Candidates who have work experience will be preferred. However, freshers can also apply.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – IILM University

Candidates must have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized University.
Also, they are required to secure at least 50% marks in NMAT by GMAC entrance test.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Myra School of Business

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% and above from a recognized institution, will be eligible.
The subject background, extra-curricular activities, awards, and recognitions are also considered during admission.
Candidates with up to 2 years of experience will be preferred. However, work experience is not mandatory for any of the programmes.
For admission to Myra School of Business, candidates will also have to submit a ‘Statement of Purpose’ (SOP). It should showcase evidence of leadership, professional promise, your career goals, your personality, and reasons for pursuing higher education.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University

Those who have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, with at least 50% marks are eligible.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST category have to secure 45% marks in aggregate in all semesters of graduation.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Jain University – CMS Business School

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% and above from a recognized institution can apply for admission.
Also, those who have work experience will be given preference.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Alliance University

Those who have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible.
Candidates hailing from reserved categories have to secure 45% in any discipline of graduation from a recognized institution.

Candidates with a graduation degree in any discipline can apply for admission.

Aspirant with an undergraduate degree in any of the disciplines with a minimum aggregate of 50 % and a minimum duration of three years from a recognized University.

Graduate candidates in any discipline from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate marks can apply.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Thapar School of Management

Candidates with a graduation degree in any discipline with 50% marks from a recognized University/Institute OR

Candidates with 50% marks in any discipline of graduation can apply for admission.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Amrut Mody School of Management, Ahmedabad University

Candidates possessing a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks can apply whereas those belonging to the reserved category have to secure 45% in any discipline from a recognized institution.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility for International Candidates

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility – Important Points

In case the authorities realize that a candidate does not meet NMAT by GMAC 2020 eligibility criteria at any later stage, it holds the right to cancel his/her candidature immediately.
All the candidates willing to apply must have scored at least 50 percent marks in their graduation in order to meet the basic NMAT by GMAC eligibility criteria.
The eligibility of some colleges differs in terms of work experience and other aspects. Therefore, candidates are advised to check the eligibility norms of their desired colleges individually before they lock their college preferences during NMAT by GMAC application form submission.
It is compulsory for candidates who have graduated from foreign universities to present their AIU certificate.
Candidates entitled for seat reservations under widows/wards of disabled/armed army personnel in war or peacetime and wards of Kashmiri migrants will avail the benefits only if they meet the desired cut-offs and fulfill the course eligibility norms.
Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation will be issued ‘provisional admission’. Their admission will be confirmed once they complete their graduation with at least 50% marks as per the NMAT by GMAC eligibility norm.
It is mandatory for the candidates to present their semester- or trimester-wise/consolidated graduation mark statement(s) for all the years at the time of admission through NMAT by GMAC.
Candidates have to provide the printouts of their mark-sheets duly attested by their respective HODs/ Principals.
Candidates who have their graduation marks evaluated as per the grade point average system need to obtain GPA/CGPA score from their concerned institution in writing.

✔️ Is the NMAT by GMAC eligibility criteria same for all the participating institutes?

No. The NMAT by GMAC eligibility varies for each participating institution. In some of the participating colleges, a minimum of two years of work experience is required whereas it is not a mandate in others.

✔️ Are there any eligibility requirements to appear for the NMAT by GMAC?

Aspirants take NMAT by GMAC exam to secure admissions in any of its participating colleges. Hence, before registering for NMAT by GMAC exam, candidates should have a know-how of eligibility criteria for all participating colleges where they are interested to apply. If any candidate registers for the test and then gets to know that he/she is ineligible for admission to the desired program, no test fee refund shall be made.
