National Institute of Technology, Raipur, was supposed to release the NIMCET admit cards on July 20. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the admit card release date has been postponed until further notice. Applicants will be able to download the admit card of NIT MCA Common Entrance Test by visiting the official website (nimcet.in). The registered email ID and the password of applicants will work as the login credentials for downloading the NIMCET hall ticket. Candidates must carry a hard copy of the admit card along with a photo ID card on the examination day. 

The NIMCET admit card will comprise some essential details about the applicants and the test. The NIT officials will verify the details of the candidates on the examination day using their NIMCET hall tickets and photo ID cards. Read this article to know more about NIMCET admit card 2020.

1. National Institute of Technology, Raipur is conducting NIMCET 2020. Hence, it has the authority to release the NIMCET admit card.
2. NIMCET hall tickets will not be sent via post or email to applicants
3. Candidates must carry the printout of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof on the examination day

Fixing Errors in the NIMCET Admit Card

Candidates might come across mismatch in the details mentioned on the NIMCET admit card and what they provided in the application form. In such cases, candidates must immediately contact the NIMCET authorities by sending an email at nimcet@nitrr.ac.in.

NIMCET Admit Card  – How to Recover Credentials?

Candidates who forget their password while downloading the NIMCET admit card 2020 can retrieve the password by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1 – Visit the official website of NIMCET i.e. nimcet.in

Step 2 – Click on the red button (as shown in below image) stating ‘Forgot Password?’

Step 3 – Enter your email ID and click on the ‘Submit’ button

Step 4 – You will receive an email to reset the password. Follow the instructions mentioned below to create a new password:

1. Password must contain at least eight characters
2. Password must contain at least one uppercase alphabet, at least one lower case alphabet and at least one special character such as *,$,@,&,^,-,=,/, etc.

Step 5 – Use the recovered password to enter the login dashboard and download your NIMCET admit card

Items to Carry on NIMCET 2020 Exam Day

Authorised people at the exam centres will verify the identity of the candidates using certain documents. Candidates must carry the following documents on the examination day to get their identities verified:

1. Hard copy of the NIMCET admit card
2. Original photo ID proof (as specified in the application form). Any of the following ID proofs are acceptable:
   • Aadhaar  Card
   • PAN  Card
   • Voter  ID  Card
   • Driving License

Additionally, candidates need to carry a blue or black ballpoint pen for filling the OMR sheet. Candidates will face a denial in the entry if they fail to bring the necessary documents on the examination day

NIMCET Admit Card – FAQs

✔️ What is the mode of NIMCET admit card release?

National Institute of Technology will release the admit card of NIT MCA Common Entrance Test in online mode only. Candidates can visit the official website of NIMCET i.e. nimcet.in to download the admit card for NIMCET 2020 once it is released.

✔️ What is the procedure to download the NIMCET admit card 2020?

Candidates have to access the login portal available at the official website. The login dashboard can be accessed using the email ID and the password. Candidates have to download and print the admit card. It is advised to take at least 2-3 printouts of the admit card. 

✔️ Can I bring a digital copy of the NIMCET admit card?

No. Candidates must carry a hard copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (as specified in the application form) on the examination day to gain entry into the examination hall.

✔️ Can I get the admit card for NIMCET 2020 via post or email?

No. NIT Raipur will not send the NIMCET admit card via email or post. Candidates need to visit the official website and login to download the admit card for NIMCET before the last date for the same.

✔️ What should I do if there is a spelling error in the NIMCET admit card?

In such a case, candidates must send the email at nimcet@nitrr.ac.in immediately by mentioning their application number and application fee transaction ID in the email.

✔️ Do I need to preserve the admit card even after the examination process?

Candidates have to produce the admit card of NIT MCA Common Entrance Test at the test centre, counselling centre/remote reporting centre and at the participating institute while completing the admission formalities. Thus, candidates must preserve their NIMCET admit cards until the admission process gets over.

✔️ Can I get a duplicate copy of the NIMCET admit card, if I have lost the same after the examination process?

No. NIT Raipur will not entertain any request for the issuance of a duplicate copy of the NIMCET admit card after the examination process. However, candidates can download their NIMCET hall ticket again by performing the same process as earlier.
