NEET Cutoff for Maharashtra 2020 is the last rank or NEET score which the candidates must secure in NEET 2020 to get admission in medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra. As NEET 2020 is rescheduled to be conducted on 13th September 2020, candidates may expect the NEET Cutoff for Maharashtra to be released in the 4th week of October 2020. There are a total 8900 MBBS and 3444 BDS seats available in the government and private medical institutions of Maharashtra through NEET 2020.

Important Update- National Testing Agency conducted the NEET UG 2020 on 13th September 2020. More than 15.97 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Exam Analysts have rated the exam comparatively “easier” than the previous year. Surprisingly, Physics section proved to be comparatively easier than Chemistry and Biology. Candidates have also praised the exam conducting body for utmost safety measures taken throughout the day of the exam.

NEET Cutoff for Maharashtra – Types of Seat Quotas

Admissions to the medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra (through NEET 2020) will be granted through 2 types of seat quotas –

  1. State Quota seats – 85% seats
  2. All India Quota seats – 15% seats

NEET Cutoff for Maharashtra – State Quota seats

Lets glance through the key highlights of State Quota seats in medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra –

  1. Candidates who will secure eligible state ranks in NEET 2020 will be granted admission through State Quota seats, provided he/she possesses a domicile certificate of Maharashtra.
  2. Commissionerate of Common Entrance Test (CET), Maharashtra is the official governing body which will be responsible for the release of NEET Cutoff for Maharashtra for State Quota seats.
  3. 85% of the seats in all the medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra will be granted under State Quota.
  4. These 85% seats will be further segregated between 2 types of quotas – Regional Quota (70% seats) and State Quota (30% seats). 
  5. The Regional Quota seats will be reserved for the eligible candidates belonging to Vidarbha, Marathwada and the Rest of Maharashtra (RoM) region.
  6. Besides, within the Regional and State Quota, there will be a reservation for Constitutional Quota and 30% State Quota for female candidates.
  7. State Quota seats will be granted to candidates belonging to various categories such as General (OPEN), Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Vimukta Jati/Denotified Tribes, OBC and Nomadic Tribes.

  1. Candidates who will secure eligible AIR (All India Rank) and corresponding score in NEET exam will be granted admission in the medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra through All India Quota.
  2. Candidates from all over the country can apply for admission under All India Quota provided they secure an eligible All India Rank in NEET exam.
  3. The 15% All India Quota seats will be available for candidates belonging to various categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC and EWS.
  4. DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) on behalf of MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) will be responsible for the release of NEET Cutoff for Maharashtra for the AIQ seats.
