NEET Cutoff for DU MBBS – Types of Quotas, Previous Years’ Cutoffs

NEET Cutoff for DU MBBS is the minimum rank which candidates must secure to get admission in the medical and dental colleges affiliated to Delhi University through NEET. This minimum NEET 2020 rank or cut off shall vary as  per the respective categories of the students. Eligible candidates will be granted admissions through 2 types of quotas – 

  1. State Quota – 85% of the MBBS and BDS seats in Delhi University are reserved for admissions under the State Quota. 
  2. All India Quota (AIQ) – The remaining 15% seats are reserved for admissions under AIQ.

Candidates must secure an eligible NEET rank and corresponding score to stay eligible for admissions to 490 MBBS and 34 BDS seats offered in government and private colleges of DU. NEET 2020 Cutoff for DU is expected to be released in the later half of October 2020.

Important Update- National Testing Agency conducted the NEET UG 2020 on 13th September 2020. More than 15.97 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Exam Analysts have rated the exam comparatively “easier” than the previous year. Surprisingly, Physics section proved to be comparatively easier than Chemistry and Biology. Candidates have also praised the exam conducting body for utmost safety measures taken throughout the day of the exam.

NEET Cutoff for DU MBBS – Highlights

NEET 2020 State Quota Seats in DU (85%)

  1. MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) is the competent governing authority which will be responsible for the release of the NEET 2020 Cutoff for DU for the 85% State Quota seats.
  2. Only the domiciles of Delhi will be granted admissions under the State Quota provided they secure an eligible NEET state rank and NEET score respectively.
  3. Candidates applying for admission under the NEET State Quota must choose and lock their choices of preferred colleges in either 1st or 2nd round of counselling. Please note that you cannot randomly apply for admission in any DU college, even after securing an eligible state rank.

NEET 2020 All India Quota (AIQ) Seats in DU (15%)

  1. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will be responsible for releasing the NEET Cutoff for DU MBBS for the All India Quota seats.
  2. Eligible candidates appearing for NEET 2020 from all around the country can apply for various medical and dental DU colleges under the AIQ, provided they obtain an eligible NEET All India Rank (AIR).
  3. There are as many as 490 MBBS and 34 BDS seats available in the medical and dental colleges affiliated to Delhi University through NEET Cutoff for DU 2020.
  4. Cutoffs will be released  separately for students belonging to various categories such as General, OBC, SC, ST and PWD.
