New Delhi, 28 February 2023 – Karnataka KCET 2023 Exam – The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced the schedule for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2023 examination.
The exam for admission to undergraduate professional courses such as B.Tech., B.E., B.Pharm., B.Arch., and B.Sc. in Karnataka will be held on 20 and 21 May 2023.
The Kannada language exam will be held at selected centres on 22 May 2023 for Kannadiga candidates from Horanadu and Gadinadu (other state and border regions).
It should be noted that the KEA has yet to announce the KCET 2023 exam registration dates.
Last year, as many as 2,16,559 candidates registered for the KCET exam, and 2,10,829 of those aspirants appeared for the test. With 98.61%, Bengaluru resident Approv Tandon topped the engineering category exam.

Karnataka KCET 2023 Exam – Eligibility and Exam Pattern
- Aspirants must have completed their Class 12th or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Aside from compulsory subjects, candidates must have optional subjects in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, and Electronics, as well as English as a language subject.
Karnataka KCET 2023 – Exam Pattern
- The KCET 2023 exam will be conducted in offline mode.
- The exam will be divided into three sessions.
- Mathematics is covered in Session 1, Physics in Session 2, and Chemistry in Session 3.
- The examination will be conducted in both English and Kannada.
- The exam will last three hours and will be made up of multiple-choice questions (MCQ).
- The test will consist of 180 questions, with 60 questions from each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- The exam will not include any negative marking.
- The exam authority will award one mark for each correct answer.
Karnataka KCET 2023 Exam – Application Fee
- Karnataka’s Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates must pay an application fee of INR 250.
- Female applicants must pay INR 250 to sit for the exam.
- Non-Karnataka residents who wish to apply must pay a fee of INR 750.
- Candidates from outside India must pay INR 5,000 in examination fees.
