JEE Main 2023 – Around 6.6 Lakh Students Register for Session

According to media reports, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has received close to 22 lakh registrations for all four sessions of JEE Main 2021, out of which around 6.6 lakh students have registered for the first session of the exam in February. The NTA is all set to conduct JEE Main 2021 exam in 4 sessions in February, March, April, and May.Β 

Note: The JEE Main admit card 2021 will be available anytime in the second week of February.Β

JEE Main 2021 – Registration Statistics (as on 23 Jan 2021)

Out of a total 21,75, 183 registrations for all 4 cycles of JEE Main 2021 exam – 

  • 6,61,761 candidates have registered for the JEE 2021 February session
  • 5,04, 540 candidates have registered for the JEE 2021 March session
  • 4,98,910 candidates have registered for the JEE 2021 April session
  • 5,09,972 candidates have registered for the JEE 2021 May session

Note: With the registration window re-opening briefly after the conclusion of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd session, the candidates will be provided the provision to apply or opt-out of the subsequent cycles. This is expected to result in an increase in JEE Main 2021 registrations.

JEE Main 2021 Language Preferences – 

Apart from Hindi and English, the JEE Main 2021 exam will be conducted in regional languages too. As per data, most of the candidates have opted to take the exam in English, followed by Hindi. At the same time, 1,42,621 candidates have opted to take the exam in regional languages, Gujarati and Bengali being the most popular language preferences.Β

In 2021, for the first time ever, some 200 technical institutions in Uttar Pradesh will be providing UG admissions based on the scores on JEE Main. Due to this, there has been a surge in JEE Main 2021 registrations by 1 lakh or more.Β
