IIFT Entrance Test Cutoff – Determining Factors
The IIFT entrance test cutoff varies every year due to various factors. Keeping in mind some of these defining parameters, NTA will decide the IIFT entrance test cutoff 2021.
- Difficulty level of IIFT test – To start with, the primary factor that determines the IIFT cutoff is the question paper of IIFT 2021. If the paper is difficult, then the IIFT 2021 cutoff will be on the lower side and vice-versa.
- Number of candidates appearing – Another important factor considered during the preparation of the IIFT cutoff list is the total number of candidates taking the IIFT entrance examination. If the number of candidates appearing for IIFT 2021 will be large, the cutoff will remain on a higher side and vice-versa.
- Seat Availability – One of the major factors determining the IIFT cutoff is the availability of seats at IIFT Delhi, Kolkata & Kakinada campus.

IIFT Selection Process
Post the release of IIFT entrance test cutoff 2021, the qualified candidates (who obtain at least the cutoff closing marks) will be shortlisted to participate in the further selection process of IIFT. The further selection rounds will include:
- Screening of candidates (on the basis of their performance in IIFT written exam)
- Writing Assessment (WA)
- Group Discussion (GD)
- Personal Interview (PI)
- Preparation of IIFT final merit list
The GD/CD, PI, and WA rounds shall be performed at designated centres by IIFT in all the major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow. Candidates shall be notified via email regarding the schedule of these rounds.

NTA is expected to declare the cutoff for IIFT entrance exam 2021 in the fourth week of December 2020. However, the exact dates for IIFT entrance test cutoff 2021 release are yet to be notified.
✔️ How many seats are available at different campuses of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade?
As of now, there are a total of 480 seats available cumulatively at all the three campuses of IIFT for MBA (IB). IIFT Delhi has the maximum number of seats available i.e. 220 while IIFT Kolkata campus has a seat intake capacity of 200. Moreover, the newest campus in the IIFT clan i.e. IIFT Kakinada has 60 seats.

The IIFT category-wise cutoffs are the minimum overall marks that the candidates belonging to different categories need to score in the IIFT entrance test to qualify for the further selection process. On the other hand, the IIFT sectional cutoff is the minimum marks that the candidates need to obtain in each section of IIFT entrance test.
