IBPS RRB Vacancy – Post-wise

IBPS has announced that they are planning to open over 8,400 vacancies for IBPS RRB 2026. Out of this number, 3,688 vacancies may be allocated for office assistant while 3,382 vacancies may be alloted for officer scale-I officers. Candidates who hold the minimum educational qualification of a Graduation degree (or its equivalent examination) and are between the ages of 20 to 40 years will be considered eligible to sit for IBPS RRB exam.

IBPS RRB Notification – Salaries

Candidates selected in the IBPS RRB Mains exam will undergo proper training as per the post. After completing the training, they will be posted to different allotted banks. The salary of the selected candidates (later appointed officer) is based on different scales (Grades). 

The salary had been revised as per the 10th Bipartite Settlement. IBPS RRB salary for different posts is given below:

Besides the basic pay, selected candidates for all IBPS RRB posts are entitled to the following allowances and perks.

Dearness Allowance This states the cost of living. It is almost 46.5% of the basic salary. The DA is revised after every 3 months.
House Rent Allowance It is paid for accommodation expenses. The amount varies as per the employee’s city of residence. 

The bank pays between 5% and 10% of HRA as per the place of posting.

  • Rural Areas – 5% of basic pay
  • Semi-urban Areas – 7.5% of  basic pay
  • Urban Areas – 10% of basic pay
Special Allowance It includes incentives or the performance-based bonus given to employees. Around 7.75% of the basic allowance can be acquired as a special allowance by the employees. The SA was not offered earlier. It came into effect from January 2016.
