New Delhi, July 3, 2023 – IBPS Recruitment 2023 – The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has invited applications for 4,045 clerical cadre positions in participating banks. Interested candidates can apply for the vacancies at the IBPS’ official website until July 21, 2023.

Candidates who hold a graduate degree and are below the age of 28 are eligible to apply for the posts.

The tentative schedule for the upcoming Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the positions includes online examinations (Preliminary and Main) that are planned to be held in August/September 2023 and October 2023.

IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2023 – Citizenship

To be eligible for the posts, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

(i) They must be citizens of India.

(ii) They must be citizens of Nepal.

(iii) They must be citizens of Bhutan.

(iv) They must be Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling in India permanently.

(v) They must be persons of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, with the intention of settling in India permanently. 

However, candidates falling under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2023 – Age Criteria

Candidates must meet the following age requirements as on July 1, 2023:

  • Minimum age: 20 years
  • Maximum age: 28 years

In other words, the candidate’s date of birth should fall between July 2, 1995 and July 1, 2003 (both dates inclusive).

IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2023 – Educational Qualifications

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following educational requirements as on July 21, 2023:

  • Possess a degree (graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or have an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • Have a valid mark sheet or degree certificate as proof of graduation on the day of registration, along with indicating the percentage of marks obtained during graduation.
  • Possess computer literacy, including operating and working knowledge of computer systems. This can be demonstrated through a certificate, diploma, or degree in computer operations/language, or by having studied computer/information technology as a subject in high school/college/institute.
  • It is preferable for candidates to have proficiency in the official language of the state/union territory (i.e., the ability to read, write, and speak the official language). This is applicable to the state/UT for which the candidate wishes to apply for vacancies.
  • Ex-servicemen who do not possess the aforementioned civil examination qualifications should be matriculate ex-servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or a corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after completing a minimum of 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as of July 21, 2023. The issued certificates should be dated on or before July 21, 2023.

The application fees and intimation charges are applicable from July 1, 2023 to July 21, 2023 (only online payment) and are as follows:

  • SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)/ex-servicemen candidates: INR 175 (inclusive of GST).
  • All other candidates: INR 850  (inclusive of GST).
