Goa Class 10 Board Result 2021 – New Marking Policy Introduced 

New Delhi, 31 May 2021 – After the cancellation of Goa Board Class 10 exam 2021, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has formulated a new marking scheme to calculate the Class 10 results. 

The GBSHSE executive committee met on Saturday, 29 May 2021, to discuss and plan the Goa board Class 10 evaluation criteria, which will have to be followed by all the schools affiliated to the board.  As per the committee, “The results of the Class 10 board will be prepared on the basis of the internal assessment conducted by schools and an objective criterion developed by the board.” 

Note: The final decision on Goa Board Class 12 exams 2021 is yet to be announced.

Earlier, the GBSHSE Class 10 board exams were expected to be held from May 13 to June 4 this year, but the board has cancelled it because of the increasing COVID-19 cases.

Goa Class 10 Board Marking Scheme 2021 – Important Points 

  • The marking scheme draft lays down that all the affiliated schools have to follow the marking scheme prepared by the board. 
  • The draft includes de-recognition or penalty for a school if it is found indulged in malpractices while finalizing the results of the Class 10 board. As per the board,  “In cases where a school deliberately indulges in practices that are not consistent with fair, unbiased and objective practices of assessment, the board reserves the right to start de-recognition proceedings and/or impose a financial penalty against the school or decide not to declare the result of the class tenth for the school till the time it is not in conformity with the board’s policy.”
  • Students who are not satisfied with their results will be given a chance to appear for the board exam as and when the COVID-19 situations will be under control. 
  • In order to finalise the results, all the schools affiliated with the Goa board have been asked to form a result committee comprising teachers from their institutions and neighboring schools.
