GATE COAP 2021 – Round 2 Seat Allotment List Released

New Delhi, 4 June 2021: GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2021 seat allotment round 2 has been released at Common Officer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Candidates can visit the official website of COAP 2021 to check the offers made through GATE counselling under round 2. The offers on Common Officer Acceptance Portal (COAP) will be available till 6 June 2021. 

The third, fourth and fifth seat allotment result will be announced from 11 June to 13 June, 18 June to 20 June, 25 June to 27 June 2021 respectively. Other additional rounds will be held between 2 July to 1 August 2021.

GATE 2021 – Seat Allotment Options Available Under COAP Round 2

Option 1 – Accept and Freeze: Candidates can choose this option when they wish to accept the allotted seat and don’t want any upgrade in any subsequent round of seat allotment. After selecting this option, candidates will not be considered for any further seat allotment or upgrade offers in subsequent rounds of admission.

Option 2 – Retain and Wait: Candidates can select this option when they wish to accept the allotted seat but also want to be considered for upgradation in the subsequent round of seat allotment. These candidates will not be considered for the other rejected offers in the present round. 

Note: If any higher offer is made in the next round, the existing ‘Retain and Wait’ offer will be cancelled.

Option 3 – Reject and Wait: Candidates can select this option when they are not willing to accept any of the offers. The candidates with this offer will not be considered for any other higher preference.

How to check admission offers through GATE COAP 2021 portal?

Candidates can check their Round 2 allotment result on the official website of GATE COAP 2021 by following the below-listed steps: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of COAP.

Step 2: Login using the valid ID and password.

Step 3: Click on the “Seat Allotment” button.

Step 4: The institute-wise list of seat allotment will appear on the screen

Step 5: Candidates must confirm their seat by choosing “Accept and Freeze” or “Retain and Wait” or “Reject and Wait”.
