COMEDK Results – Dates, Rank Card, Admission Process

The COMEDK result 2020 will be declared by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka on its official website i.e. comedk.org. As the entrance exam is now scheduled to be held on 19th of August 2020, Consequently the COMEDK result date is also extended. COMEDK Result 2020 will be declared on 4th September 2020 in the form of an online rank card and the examinees can download their individual COMEDK rank cards by logging in with their user ID and password. It is crucial to know that the provisional answer key of COMEDK UGET 2020 will be released on 23rd August 2020. Candidates can only file objections on the provisional answer key till 26th August 2020. The final answer key of COMEDK UGET 2020 will be released on 31st August 2020.

On the basis of scores obtained by candidates, the merit list will be published soon after the declaration of COMEDK result 2020. According to the rank of candidates in the merit list, they will be invited to participate in the counselling process for admission confirmation. Important Update – The Admit cards for the COMEDK UGET 2020 and Uni-Gauge-E will be available for download from at least a week prior to the exam date. Candidates who have succesfully applied for the exam will be able to download the admit cards in the online mode by entering the login credentials.  It is also crucial to know that COMEDK UGET and Uni-Gauge-E will be conducted as a single exam for the year 2020. The exam is  rescheduled  again with  regards  to  the  safety  of  the  applicants  in  wake  of  the  Covid  19  pandemic.  COMEDK  UGET  2020  will now be held on 19th  August  2020. The results of the entrance exam will be declared on 4th September 2020.

COMEDK Results – Steps to check results

The result of COMEDK 2020 will be declared online on the official website only. Candidates can go through the steps elaborated below in order to check their result.

  • Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. comedk.org
  • Step 2: Go to the login window
  • Step 3: Enter your user ID and password
  • Step 4: Result will display on the screen
  • Step 5: Download the rank card and take a printout

What if I forget the password while checking COMEDK Results?

COMEDK login credentials are one of the most important properties for the aspirants until the admission process gets over. These credentials are generated at the time of registration. If in case a candidate forgets his/her credentials, he/she can retrieve the same following the steps mentioned below:  

  1. Visit the official website i.e. comedk.org
  2. Click on ‘Forgot password’ on the student login page
  3. Enter your user ID (Application Sequence Number)
  4. Enter the CAPTCHA CODE given in the box
  5. Click on get password to receive your new COMEDK 2020 password

COMEDK Results – Rank Card

A separate rank card will be released by the conducting authority on the official website. Candidates need to log in with the help of their user ID and password to download their individual rank cards. On the basis of this rank, candidates will be granted admission in various courses offered. It must be noted that the authority does not send the rank cards individually through post. Therefore, candidates must not request for the same under any circumstance.  

COMEDK Results 2020 – Merit List & Tie Breaking Process

As per the score obtained by candidates, a merit list will be prepared by COMEDK. This merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of score trends in COMEDK result 2020. After the release of the merit list, the nominated candidates will be allotted seats through the counselling process. In the case of two or more candidates having the same score, the below-discussed tie-breaking process will be applied. 

COMEDK Results – Tie Breaking Procedure

  1. The principle of least negative responses (number of wrong answers) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, followed by
  2. Aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry, followed by
  3. Marks in Mathematics, followed by
  4. Age of the Candidates – the older candidate will be preferred over the younger ones

What after declaration of COMEDK Results 2020?

Once the COMEDK 2020 result has been declared, candidates will have to follow the further admission process. The steps that lead to the admission and allotment of seats are listed below:  

  1. Download your rank card (engineering exam rank card )
  2. Read counselling process document
  3. Keep your documents ready as per guidelines in counselling process document
  4. Attend counselling in Bengaluru as per the notified schedule

COMEDK Results – Counselling

After the release of online rank cards, candidates will be called for the COMEDK counselling process. In the counselling process, candidates will have to carry their original certificates for verification purposes. After verification, candidates will be allotted seats at different constituent colleges as per their rank in COMEDK 2020. Further, all those candidates who fail to get a seat in the first round of counselling will be eligible to participate in the second round of counselling of COMEDK 2020.

Q. Where can a candidate check their COMEDK 2020 result?

Ans: COMEDK will declare the result for COMEDK UGET 2020 online on the official website only.

Q. Is there any provision to receive a hard copy of the COMEDK rank card?

Ans: No, candidates will not receive any hardcopy of the COMEDK rank card under any circumstance. They will have to login and download the rank card through online mode only.

Q. How will the merit list for COMEDK be prepared?

Ans: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka will prepare the merit list in order to grant admission to eligible candidates. The merit list will be prepared as per the scores obtained by the candidates.

Q. Will the declaration of COMEDK result 2020 be the final process of admission?

Ans: No. After the declaration of result for COMEDK 2020, a merit list will be prepared as per which counselling rounds will be conducted in order to allot seats to eligible candidates.
