Assam Rifles Recruitment 2023 – Technical and Tradesmen Posts – Eligibility and Selection Process
- The Assam Rifles Technical and Tradesman Recruitment Rally 2023 will be held for enrollment into Group B and C posts based on applications received from eligible male and female candidates for the trades and posts as mentioned in Appendix ‘A’ & ‘B’, according to the official notification.
- All relevant information, including eligibility requirements, age restrictions, selection process, state-specific recruitment details, and salary range, is included in the notification.
- The application form must be filled out and submitted by the candidate, along with a copy of their Domicile/Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) from their state or union territory.
- All future information regarding the recruitment rally’s various events will be communicated to candidates solely via email and SMS. Therefore, they must provide a valid email address and mobile phone number while filling out the application form.
Assam Rifles Recruitment 2023 – Technical and Tradesmen Posts – Age Limit
- Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 23 as of January 1, 2023, to be eligible to apply.
Age Relaxation
- The age restriction will be relaxed by five years for SC and ST candidates and by three years for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates.
- Serving Assam Rifles personnel (General or OBC) will be eligible for the following age reductions:
- Up to 40 years for Clerk, PA and Pharmacist positions, and up to 35 years for Religious Teacher
- Serving Assam Rifles personnel (SC or ST) will be eligible for the following age reductions:
- Up to 40 years for Clerk, PA and Pharmacist positions, and up to 35 years for Religious Teacher
- Up to 40 years for Clerk, PA and Pharmacist positions, and up to 35 years for Religious Teacher
- Ex-servicemen belonging to unreserved category will have the age relaxation of three years of age after deducting the period of their military service
- Ex-servicemen belonging to OBC category will have the age relaxation of six years of age after deducting the period of their military service
- Ex-servicemen belonging to SC and ST categories will have the age relaxation of eight years of age after deducting the period of their military service
Assam Rifles Recruitment 2023 – Technical and Tradesmen Posts – Application Fee
- As per the notification, the application fee for Group B posts (Religious Teacher and Bridge and Road posts only) is INR 200, and the fee for Group C posts (except Religious Teacher and Bridge and Road posts) is INR 100.
- The fee should be deposited into SBI Current Account No. 37088046712 in the name of HQ DGAR, Recruitment Branch, Shillong,-10 at SBI Laitkor Branch, IFSC Code SBIN0013883.
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), female, and ex-servicemen candidates are exempt from paying any fees.
Assam Rifles Recruitment 2023 – Technical and Tradesmen Posts – Physical Standards
The physical standard criteria for Assam Rifles Group B and C posts are as follows:
Height: Male candidates must be at least 170 cm tall (165 cm for candidates from the North Eastern region, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, and Marathas). Female candidates must be at least 157 cm in height (152 cm for candidates from the North Eastern region, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, and Marathas).
Chest: Male candidates must have a minimum chest measurement of 80 cm (85 cm for candidates from the North Eastern region, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, and Marathas)
Weight: As per medical standards, the weight of male and female applicants should be proportional to their height and age.
Physical Fitness: Male applicants must be able to run one mile in six and a half minutes, while females must be able to do so in eight minutes.
Vision: The candidates must not be colour blind and should have vision in both eyes of 6/6 without glasses.
Tattoos: Tattoos on any part of the body are not permitted, with the exception of candidates from tribal communities or those with religious tattoos.
Assam Rifles Recruitment 2023 – Technical and Tradesmen Posts – Selection Process
There are four stages to the selection process for Assam Rifles Group B and C positions.
Written examination: The written examination will include questions on general intelligence, general knowledge, numerical aptitude, and English language proficiency.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who pass the written exam will be asked to take the PET. The PET will consist of a race, a long jump, and a high jump.
Trade Test (Skill Test): Candidates who clear the PET will be invited to the Trade Test (Skill Test) in the trade for which they have applied.
Detailed Medical Examination: A detailed medical examination will be required of candidates who pass the trade test.Final Selection: Subject to passing the medical examination, the final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the written examination and Trade Test.
