AISSEE 2023 – NTA Releases Entrance Exam Schedule, Exam on 8 Jan 2023

New Delhi, 27 October 2022, AISSEE 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the application and exam dates for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2023. The exam will be conducted for Classes 6 and 9 in 33 Sainik schools across the country.

The entrance exam will be held on 8 January 2023 and the last date to submit the application form is 30 November 2022.

Note –

  • Sainik schools are English medium residential schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved 18 new Sainik schools, which operate in partnership with Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and private schools.

AISSEE 2023 – Eligibility

  • Candidates must be the citizens of India.
  • Girls and boys, are both eligible for admission in Class 6.
  • Only boys can apply for admission to Class 9.

  • Students must be a minimum of 10 years of age.

AISSEE 2023 – Selection Process

The selection of students will be done through a two-phase process, namely, a written test and a medical test.

  • Written Test
    • The written test of Class 6 includes 125 questions from Mathematics, G.K, Language and Intelligence, and it will carry a total of 300 marks.
    • The written test of Class 9 includes 150 questions from Mathematics, English, Intelligence, General Science and Social Studies.
  • Medical Test: After successfully qualifying for the written test, candidates will be eligible for the medical test round.

AISSEE 2023 – Exam Pattern

  • The written test will consist of objective and descriptive questions.
  • The duration of the objective test is 2 hours, and the duration of the descriptive test is 30 minutes.
  • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • The admission test will be conducted through offline mode.

Step 3 – Enter the contact number and One-Time Password (OTP).

The fee for the Sainik school admission form is INR 500 for the Scheduled Castes (SC)and Scheduled Tribes (ST) category students. The candidates who fall under the category of Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and General category are required to pay INR 650 as the application fee.
