New Delhi, 11 March 2022 – The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the AFCAT Result 2022 [Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT- 01/2022)]. As the result portal is officially open now, candidates will have to visit the official website –https://afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT/ to check their respective AFCAT results. To download the result, candidates are required to log in using their registered email address and password.
Nearly 2 lakh candidates appeared for the AFCAT (1) exam, which was held on 12th, 13th, and 14th February 2022.

How to Check AFCAT Result/Scorecard 2022?
The official IAF authority has released the AFCAT result 2022 in online mode on the official website. To check and download the results, candidates will need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
1. Visit the official website of AFCAT – https://afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT/
2. On the homepage, click on the “AFCAT 2022 Result” link (check the news bar)
3. When the page is redirected to the login page, enter the Email ID, password, and CAPTCHA code
4. Click on Login
5. AFCAT result 2022 will be displayed on the screen
6. Candidate must take multiple printouts of the AFCAT (1) result to use it for further processes

The AFCAT cut off 2022 has been declared along with the AFCAT (1) result 2022. SSB Interview 2022 at AFSB
While the AFCAT result downloading process has started, selected candidates have to get ready for the next phase of the AFCAT exam 2022 – interview round. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview rounds at AFSB (Air Force Selection Boards). IAF has allocated 4 AFSB centers where the SSB rounds will be conducted:
- Dehradun (1 AFSB)
- Mysuru (2 AFSB)
- Gandhinagar (3 AFSB)
- Varanasi (4 AFSB)
Candidates must select the date and venue of AFSB Testing within a stipulated time. After that, IAF will allot the venue randomly to the candidates who fail to choose their date and venue.
Candidates must note that only those who have applied for the Flying Branch can only opt for Dehradun, Mysore, and Varanasi locations.
Furthermore, candidates should know that the AFSB Interview will be conducted in three stages and they should prepare according to it. The stages include:
- 1st Stage – OIR and PPDT (Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception and discussion test)
- 2nd Stage – Psychological Tests
- 3rd Stage – CPSS (Computerised Pilot Selection System) only for the Flying Branch
Preparation of Final Merit List
The final merit list of AFCAT exam 2022 will be created based on the joint performance of the candidates in the online test and AFSB Interview. IAF will take the final decision and create separate minimum qualifying marks for the online test and AFSB Interview.
Candidates will be placed in the final merit list based on their total acquired marks in both the stages of exams. After that, they will be placed in Flying or Ground Duty branches, depending on the number of vacancies, performance in the selection process, and their registered preferences.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducts the AFCAT exam every year to select candidates in the Group A Gazetted Officer category for the position of Permanent Commissioning (PC)/ Short Service Commissioning (SC) in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches for the IAF. As per the released AFCAT notification, the AFCAT course will begin in January 2023.
