September 29, 2022, New Delhi, ABC Registration: All students enrolling in Delhi University from this year onwards will be mandatorily required to register in the Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) portal, which stores the details of the credits each student has earned. The ABC serves as a virtual repository for information on the academic credits that a student has earned.
Talking about the benefits of ABC, Professor K Ratnabali, Dean of Academic Activities and Projects, has said that the ABC feature allows for credit mobility, enabling students to use credits they’ve accrued at several colleges to acquire the appropriate certificates, diplomas, and degrees.
She further added that every student who plans to enrol in classes beginning with the academic year 2022–2023 must first register on the Academic Bank of Credit website. Once you have an account on the academic portal, it is similar to having a bank account. Four credits will be added to your credit account each time you pass a course.
Ms. Ratnabali also stated, “Similarly, if you are taking any other additional courses where credit mobility is possible, you can take advantage of it. If you look at the ABC portal, there are many universities where there is credit. You can redeem those credits and thereafter award a certificate, diploma, and degree accordingly.”
