The cut off marks are the minimum scores that applicants need to secure at all levels of IBPS PO exam to qualify and become eligible for the next level of selection. There are 3 cutoffs released after each stage of the exam – prelims, mains and interview (final cut off).
IBPS PO prelims cutoffs for 2019-20 session were released on November 8, 2019. The overall IBPS PO prelims cut off was 59.75 marks for General and OBC categories, 53.50 marks for SC and 46.25 marks for ST candidates. Following this, candidates were shortlisted for the IBPS PO mains exam and a cut off for the mains exam was released on January 9,2020.
These cutoffs are released based on category and section. Candidates who have secured a score as per the required IBPS PO cut off 2019 in the mains exam were called for interview in early 2020. The final cut-off is expected to be released after the end of the coronavirus lockdown in India.
The next IBPS PO (2020-21) prelims and mains exams will be held at the end of 2020 and its interview will be conducted in Jan/Feb in 2021.

Total marks of the IBPS PO Mains test is 225. Depending on where your scores stand in relation to the cut off for mains exam, you will be selected for the next round which is the Personal Interview. Also, the number of vacancies are a deciding factor in shortlisting for IBPS PO Interview.
IBPS PO Cut off – Interview & Provisional Allotment
The total marks in the Interview round is 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview is –
- Not less than 40% of the total for general category
- Not less than 35% of the total for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD
Provisional allotment cut off is generally decided based on the mains exam and the interview round. The weightage of marks given to the mains exam and interview is in the ratio of 80:20.
