The NEET 2020 2nd round counselling result, which was supposed to be declared today, has now been delayed till tomorrow (28 Nov 2020) by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Eligible candidates must check the results at mcc.nic.in. Students who will be granted seats through the NEET UG 2nd round counselling must download the allotment letter and report at the allotted college in-person in between 28th November and 8th December 2020.
Previously, MCC opened the registration window for the NEET UG 2020 2nd round counselling from 20th November 2020, the deadline for which was set for 23rd November 2020 (till 8.00 pm). Also, the choice filling window remained opened till 24th November 2020 (till 11.59 pm).
DGHS or Directorate General of Health Services is responsible for conducting the NEET UG counselling process for 15% AIQ (All India Quota) seats in government medical and dental colleges around the country. The remaining 85% of the seats in the respective colleges are granted through the State Quota (for various categories). However, there are some highly esteemed central universities in which 100% of the seats are granted through the AIQ quota such as ESIC, AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER. The counselling process for such universities is also conducted by DGHS.

NEET UG 2020 2nd Round Result – How to Download the Result/Allotment Letter?
Candidates who secure a seat through the NEET 2nd round counselling result must download the allotment letter by following the steps given below –
1. Visit the official website of MCC- mcc.nic.in/ugcounselling.
2. Click on the link mentioning “UG Counselling”.
3. Scroll to the ‘Online Services’ section; then click on the tab mentioning ‘Allotment letter- Round 2’.
4. You will be directed to a page where you must enter following credentials-
- NEET UG 2020 Roll number
- Date of Birth
- Security Pin
4. After filling the details, click on the “Submit” tab.
5. Your 2nd round counselling allotment letter/result will appear on the screen.
6. Verify the details on the result such as All India Rank, Category Rank, Category Alloted, College Alloted.
7. Take a few printouts.
Meanwhile, candidates who will not be granted a seat through the NEET 2nd round counselling will stay eligible to register for the mop-up round. The NEET UG counselling mop-up round is scheduled to commence from 10th December 2020.
