UPESEAT or UPES Engineering Aptitude Test is conducted by the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun for admission to B.Tech courses. The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies has cancelled the UPESEAT 2020. The entrance exam was previously scheduled to take place between 8th to 12th July 2020. However, the exam authority has decided to cancel the exam, in wake of the consequences of Covid 19 pandemic in the country. The admissions to the candidates will now be granted through the marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent. The governing body of the exam has also introduced a revised schedule for the candidates who aspire to get admission in B.Tech courses of UPES, Dehradun. The revised schedule is give below-

It is of primary importance to check the eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2020 before filling its application form. UPESEAT Application Form – Eligibility
If you would like to apply for the UPESEAT exam, ensure that you fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Age Limit
- Applicants date of birth is on or after October 1, 1999, are eligible to apply for admission. The date of birth, as recorded in the Senior Secondary Board will be taken into account.
Educational Qualification
- You have to obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in higher and senior secondary (class 10 and 12 board) with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects in Class 12 for admission through UPESEAT.
- For admission through JEE Main Merit, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in higher and senior secondary (class 10 and 12 board) with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects in Class 12 and a valid JEE Main score is required.
- For admission through Board Merit, minimum 80% marks at higher and senior secondary level (10th & 12th) and minimum 80% aggregate in PCM at senior secondary level (12th class) is required.
UPESEAT Application Form – Login & Application Process
Step 1: UPESEAT Registration Process
- Visit the official website of UPES
- Click on the “Apply Now” tab available at the right top corner of the page.
- Enter personal details such as name, date of birth, nationality, email ID, mobile number, city, state and programme.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile number to proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Fill in the Academic History
- In academic history, candidates are required to enter details of class 10 including year of passing and marks in percentage or CGPA.
- You also have to indicate class 12 appearing status and other details.
Step 3: Pay UPESEAT Application Fee
- Candidates have to pay the application fee of INR 1350 in online mode. The fees can be paid via PayU or debit card/credit card/net banking (through Paytm).
Step 4: Submit the UPESEAT Application Form 2020
- Finish the application form by filling the remaining details. Go through the form thoroughly by reviewing it. Agree to the declaration and submit the form. Candidates must save a copy of the filled UPESEAT application form and fee receipt and save it for future use and reference.

UPESEAT Application Form – Admit Card & Slot Booking
UPES informs the successfully registered candidates about the exam dates, slot booking window and exam centres via email around two months prior to the exam. Candidates have to book their desired slot and choose the exam centre city to take the exam. Once the slot is booked, they will be able to download the admit card. UPESEAT slot booking window and admit card can be accessed at the applicant’s login page by logging in with the registered email ID and password.
