New Delhi, July 24, 2023, SSC CPO 2023 – The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the online application process for the SSC Central Police Organization (SSC CPO) Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The last to date apply is August 15, with the deadline set at 11.00 PM.
This recruitment drive is aiming to fill a total of more than 1,800 vacancies (tentative). The application fee for the General category is INR 1,000, while applicants from the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) categories are exempted from paying the application fee.
Aspiring candidates should note that the tentative schedule for the recruitment examination is scheduled for October 2023.

SSC CPO 2023 – Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan.
- Educational Qualification for all posts is a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Candidates who have appeared in their bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination can also apply, provided they possess the essential qualification on or before the application deadline date, i.e., 15.08.2023.
- Candidates who have not yet acquired the educational qualification but will acquire it and can provide documentary evidence from the Board/University in support thereof, as of 15.08.2023, will also be eligible.
- For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (Male candidates only):
- Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT) to be eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police.
- Male candidates who do not have a valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in CAPFs only.
SSC CPO 2023 – Age Relaxation
- Code 01: SC/ST candidates – 5 years beyond the upper age limit/age limit after relaxation.
- Code 02: OBC candidates – 3 years beyond the upper age limit/age limit after relaxation.
- Code 06: Ex-Servicemen (ESM) – 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date.
- For the post of SI in Delhi Police (Category Codes-12 and 13):
- Code 12: Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not remarried – Up to 35 years of age.
- Code 13: Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not remarried (SC/ST) – Up to 40 years of age.
- For Departmental candidates of Delhi Police against the vacancies of Delhi Police only (Category Codes-17, 18, and 19):
- Code 17: Departmental candidates (Unreserved) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as of the closing date – Up to 30 years of age.
- Code 18: Departmental candidates (OBC) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as of the closing date – Up to 33 years of age.
