New Delhi, 23 February 2023 – Indian Army Recruitment Rules 2023 – The Indian Army has changed its selection process in order to attract the ideal mix of brains and brawn into the force.
Earlier, a written test was conducted at the end of the recruitment process. According to Army Recruitment Officer Colonel G Suresh, it will now be considered the first step in ensuring that recruits are both physically and mentally strong.
Physical endurance and medical tests will now be conducted after the written examination.
Colonel Suresh added that another significant change in the recruitment process is that applicants will have to pay a fee of INR 500 to take the written examination.
“The Indian Army will bear INR 250 of this amount, while the candidate will have to pay only INR 250,” he said.
After a nationwide announcement earlier this month, the recruitment process for Agniveer is now open for registration. However, Colonel Suresh stated that enrolling online is only possible once per year.
A computer-based online common entrance exam (CEE) will be administered prior to the recruitment rally, according to the revised selection procedure.
The army had recently advertised the change in the process in national publications.
