CAT Syllabus 2022: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore has released the official notification for the CAT 2022 on its official website: iimcat.ac.in. CAT is required for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes at IIMs and other top business institutions nationwide. 

Registration for CAT 2022 opened on August 3, 2022, and ended on September 14, 2022. The CAT admission card was released on September 27, 2022. The CAT 2022 exam will be conducted on November 27, 2022 and will be a computer-based exam. 

The syllabus for CAT is not strictly defined and is very broad. However, the CAT syllabus has majorly 3 sections: Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning; and Section III: Quantitative Ability. The test will last 120 minutes and each section will be given to the candidates for 40 minutes.

What are the eligibility criteria for CAT 2022?

An undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average of 50% or an equivalent CGPA is required for candidates to be eligible for CAT 2022. Candidates from the SC, ST, and PWD categories must earn undergraduate degrees from an accredited university or institution with a minimum GPA of 45%. Candidates who are awaiting results from their final year exams for their various undergraduate programmes may also apply. However, such applicants won't be permitted to enrol in the programme unless they provide a statement from their respective institution's head - confirming that they have fulfilled all prerequisites for an undergraduate degree.
