New Delhi, 27 July 2022: The People’s Educational Trust, also known as the Dr. Ambedkar Academy has decided to conduct free training for the benefit of the SC/ST candidates who are appearing for the Group 1 TNPSC prelims 2022 examination, which will be conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on 30 October 2022.

TNPSC Prelims 2022 – Free Coaching Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline
- The family annual income of the candidates must be up to a maximum of INR 8 lakh.
- The maximum age limit for admission to coaching must be as follows:
- For Civil Services examination: 30 years
- For SSC examination: 26 years
- The candidate must not be suffering from any fatal disease.
- The candidates will be required to produce education, caste, and income certificates and Aadhaar card (in original), and submit one photocopy of each certificate.

How to Download TNPSC Admit Card 2022?
- Candidates are required to visit the TNPSC Group 1 2022 official website.
- Then, they are required to click on the links for ‘TNPSC Group 1 Hall Ticket 2022’.
- Thereafter, the candidates are required to enter their ‘Application Number’ and ‘Date of Birth’.
- Lastly, they can download their admit cards for future references.
Other Free Coaching Initiatives – Central Sector Scheme of Free Coaching for SC and OBC Students
- The ‘Central Sector Scheme of Free Coaching Scheme (FCS) for SC and OBC Students’ has been implemented to provide coaching to economically disadvantaged Scheduled Castes (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) students for competitive examinations.
- The selection is made using the central portal and funds are released directly to the beneficiaries through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT).
- From 2016 to 2021, a total of 7250 beneficiaries have been coached, of which 1592 succeeded in qualifying exams for various posts or institutes.
Central Sector Scheme of Free Coaching for SC and OBC Students – Stipend
- The monthly stipend of Rs. 3000/- per student is paid to students for attending the coaching class. Similarly, Rs. 6000/- per student is paid per month for outstation students.
- The stipend is paid for the duration of the course or for 1 year, whichever is less.
- The stipend to each student shall be paid directly by the Ministry through DBT.
- Students with disabilities would also be eligible for a Special Allowance of Rs. 2000/- per month.

- The online applications for the year 2022-23 were called for the selection of the 3500 candidates from 1 May 2022 onwards. The last date for submission of the application was 15th June 2022.
- The free coaching scheme is a central sector scheme of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment for Schedule Caste (SC)/ Other Back Caste (OBC), under which the students who have a total family income from all sources of INR 8 lakh or less per annum will be eligible for benefit under the scheme.
- However, SC/OBC candidates belonging to minority communities shall not be eligible.
