New Delhi, 21 July 2021 – State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced the postponement of its SBI Clerk mains exam 2021. This decision has been taken as a direct consequence of the delay in SBI Clerk prelims result 2021.
Initially, the SBI clerk main exam was scheduled to be held on 31st July 2021. Now, as per the latest update, the scheduled exam stands shelved. The bank has not notified any new exam dates yet.
SBI has put up the information on its official careers page, which states, “Main examination scheduled to be held on 31.07.2021 has been deferred till further notice.”
SBI Clerk 2021 – Prelims Result Postponed
Apart from the mains exam date, SBI has also postponed the result release date of its prelims exam. The State Bank of India had planned to announce the SBI Clerk result 2021 for prelims sometime in July 2021.
The exam authorities have now planned to announce results after the conclusion of the SBI Clerk 2021 prelims exam in four remaining cities –
- Shillong
- Agartala
- Aurangabad (Maharashtra)
- Nashik
The prelims exam for the above-mentioned four cities was postponed due to some unforeseen circumstances. The new dates for the SBI Clerk 2021 exam for these four cities will be announced soon on the official website.

About SBI Clerk 2021
SBI organizes the SBI Clerk exam every year to recruit eligible applicants for the post of Junior Associate. This year, SBI has announced 5237 open vacancies for clerical posts. The SBI Clerk application process commenced on 27th April 2021 and concluded on 27th May 2021.
The selection for the Junior Associate posts is based on the candidates’ performance in preliminary, main, and opted local language examinations. The candidates who will be selected and recruited by SBI will receive up to Rs. 47,920 as a monthly salary with a starting basic pay of Rs. 19,900.
