NEET 2021 Schedule Likely to be Announced Soon – Education Minister

Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal has hinted that the NEET 2021 dates will be announced in 2 weeks time. In an interaction with the media (IndiaTV news), the Education Minister also said that the Ministry may even officially announce multiple sessions for the NEET 2021. He said- “We are exploring all the possibilities of conducting the exam twice a year, keeping in view the concerns of students”.NEET 2021 Schedule

Recently, medical aspirants from all across the country have expressed their thoughts on twitter concerning the delay in the announcement of NEET 2021 schedule and other crucial information relevant to the exam. Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal’s official twitter handle has been flooded with a massive number of requests and complaints from students regarding the delay in announcement of the NEET 2021 schedule.

Many students have raised objections on why prominent engineering entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced are being considered as priority and not the NEET 2021. An aspiring candidate tweeted – “What about NEET dates? Say something about NEET dates, it is as important as that of JEE”. Majority of aspirants have requested the authorities to conduct the NEET 2021 twice or more times for this academic year. Some students have requested for relaxation in NEET 2021 exam pattern, while some are demanding the entrance exam to be abandoned or at least be postponed till July or August 2021.

Not only students but even teachers are concerned about the delay in the announcement of NEET 2021 schedule. A certain teacher requested the Education Minister to announce the NEET schedule at the earliest as it will help the students to plan their study schedule accordingly, also it will reduce the anxiety of students, who have been waiting for the all-important announcement.

Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal has already conducted multiple webinars discussing information on JEE Main 2021, CBSE board exams 2021 and most recently on the JEE Advanced 2021. Some major changes have been made to the JEE Main 2021 format which now includes 4 sessions for the exam and revised exam pattern as well. The CBSE board exam syllabus has also been reduced to 30% from the previous year. In addition to this, the Ministry has announced a relaxation in eligibility for the JEE Advanced 2021.
