KVPY admit card is an essential document required for a smooth and befitting flow of the examination procedure. Regarded as the highly acclaimed national-level fellowship program, the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is meant for the students who are pursuing an education in the field of science in India. The KVPY admit card is issued by the Indian Institute of Science and Technology (IISC), Bangalore through online mode on the official website of KVPY.

The applicants can access the admit card approximately one month before the examination by providing the date of birth and the respective application number. The KVPY admit card constitutes of the details of the applicant and the examination, it is mandatory for the applicant to carry the admit card along with him/her to the examination hall. KVPY Admit Card – Important Dates

The KVPY admit card can be downloaded online by the students. They will have to provide their login credentials to access it. The admit card for the KVPY examination 2021-22 is expected to be released around the 2nd week of October 2021. The interview is generally scheduled around January and February each year for different categories of students. The students need to carry certain forms (duly-filled) to the interview along with the interview call letter that can be downloaded online from the KVPY website. KVPY Admit Card – Key Details

The KVPY admit card carries a lot of essential details of the applicant and the examination on it. It is important for an applicant to carry his/her admit card along with them to the examination hall without which he/she will not be allowed to take the examination. The applicant should make sure to go through the KVPY admit card thoroughly before heading on for the examination. They should verify the content available on it and make sure that the information on the admit card is correct and authentic. Some of the key details mentioned on the KVPY admit card are as follows:

  • Name of the applicant
  • Category of the applicant
  • Gender of the applicant
  • Applied stream
  • Roll number of the applicant
  • KVPY application number
  • Date of the examination

The kind of errors that may occur in the KVPY admit card constitute usually of issues such as –

KVPY Admit Card – How to download?

The KVPY examination for the year 2021-22 is scheduled to be held on the 7th November 2021 and the admit cards will be released in the second week of October 2021. The official notification has already released regarding the nuances of the KPVY examination to notify the applicants. As soon as a student registers and pays the fee for the examination, he/she will be eligible to receive the KVPY admit card.
It can be acquired through the official KVPY website.  Once the applicant has downloaded the KVPY admit card, he/she is advised to keep it safe for future reference. The procedure to download the admit card has been explained in detail below.

Step 1: Visit the official KVPY website

The applicant needs to visit the official website of the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) and click on ‘Applications’ present in the top-right corner of the index page.

Step 2: Click on ‘Download KVPY Admit Card’

The applicant will be directed to a page which will provide the KVPY admit card link. 

Step 3: Log in the portal

The applicants need to log-in with their respective credentials to access the admit card.

Step 4: Download the KVPY Admit Card

KVPY Admit Card – Selection Procedure

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana has a two-tier selection procedure constituting of an aptitude test to check the analytical skills of the applicant and a Personal Interview to get to know more about the shortlisted applicants and their current educational status and requirements. The applicants shortlisted eventually in the personal interview finally get to receive the KVPY scholarship. The selection procedure of the fellowship program is as follows:

Aptitude Test- A careful evaluation and analysis of the application forms of the candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the different streams are done. The selected students are called in for an aptitude test conducted bilingually i.e. in Hindi and English at various centres all throughout the country. They need the KVPY admit card to appear for the test. Also, they are required to carry valid identity proof with them along with the admit card.

Personal Interview- Based on the quality of performance of the applicant in the aptitude test, further filtration of students is done among which the short-listed applicants are asked to appear for a personal interview. The interview is the last and the final stage of the selection procedure of the KVPY scheme.

KVPY Admit Card – Examination Centres

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahann Yojana aptitude test is held in 54 different cities all across India in an online-based MCQ format. The applicants can select their preferred city at the time of the KVPY application. The test centres are allotted to students on the basis of the preference and availability of the seat at the location. The instructions for the venue and the examination centre are present in the KVPY admit card. The applicants belonging to PWD category can avail a wheelchair at the location of the examination centre as per their preferences.
