Jharkhand Recruitment 2023 – Home Guard Vacancies – Eligibilityย
- Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 40 as of 1 January 2023.
- Candidates for Rural cadre must have passed Class 7, while candidates for Urban cadre must have passed Class 10.
Physical Requirementsย
- Candidates applying for the Urban and Rural cadres will have the same physical requirements.
Height
- Male candidates from the General, Other Backwards Classes (OBC), and Backward Classes (BC) categories must be 162 cm tall.
- Male candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories must be 157 cm tall.
- Female candidates from all categories must be 157 cm tall.
Chest
- Male candidates from the General, Other Backwards Classes (OBC), and Backward Classes (BC) categories must have a chest size of 79 cm.
- Male candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories must have a chest size of 76 cm.

Physical Test
- Candidates will be required to participate in events such as running (1 mile), long jump, high jump, and shot put as part of the selection process.
Hindi Writing Assessment Test
- Candidates who pass the physical tests will be required to take a written exam in Hindi for the Rural and Urbal cadres at the Class 7 and Class 10 levels, respectively.
Technical Skills Assessment Test (Only for technically skilled Home Guards, Urban cadre)
- Candidates who pass the physical and Hindi writing exams will be tested on their technical abilities.
