02 August, 2022, NEW DELHI, IBPS PO 2022: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued the notification regarding the IBPS PO registration process on its official website: ibps.in. There are a total of 6432 vacancies for the post of probationary officer (PO).

The IBPS PO registration process opening date was August 2, 2022, and the closing date is August 22, 2022. The preliminary examination will be held in October 2022, and the main examination will take place in November 2022. The result for the preliminary examination will be declared in November 2022, while the result for the main examination will be declared in December 2022.

Candidates will be able to download their call letters for interviews in January or February of 2023. Interviews will also be conducted in January or February of 2023. The provisional allotment will be made in April 2023. 

The age limit for the IBPS PO application is 20 years to 30 years. The registration fee for General, Other Backward Caste (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories is Rs. 850. Those candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories will have to pay Rs. 175 as the registration fee.

Only candidates who are citizens of India, subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, or refugees from Tibet who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intent of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intent of permanently settling in India, are eligible for the exam.

  • Or, they need to be a subject of Nepal, Bhutan or a refugee from Tibet who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intent of settling permanently in India.

IBPS PO 2022 – Exam Pattern

  • The IBPS PO prelims examination will be a computer-based test.
  • The total duration of the IBPS PO preliminary test will be 1 hour.
  •  A total of 100 questions will be asked carrying 1 mark each.
  • For every incorrect answer, one fourth or 0.25 of the marks will be deducted.
  • After clearing the IBPS PO prelims, aspirants will have to appear for the main exam followed by a personal interview round.
