IIT Bombay will release the response sheet for GATE 2021 soon after the conduct of the exam in the month of February 2021 (expectedly). Candidates can download their GATE response sheet from the online portal just by logging in with the assigned credentials (enrolment ID and password). The response sheet comprises the answers marked by the candidates during the exam. How can I download the GATE Response Sheet 2021?

The response sheets for GATE 2021 will be made available in online mode on the official website. Aspirants will be required to follow the below-mentioned steps in order to download their response sheet for GATE 2021.

  1. Visit the official GOAPS (GATE Online Application Process) portal.
  2. Log into the portal using your registered login credentials (enrollment ID or email ID and password).
  3. Fill in and submit the captcha image.
  4. After successfully logging in, go to the ‘view response’ tab.
  5. Candidates will be now redirected to the response sheet window in PDF format.
  6. Aspirants are advised to download and keep the response sheet safely with them for future reference.

GATE Response Sheet – How to calculate the probable scores using the GATE Marking Scheme?

By following the marking scheme defined by the authorities for GATE papers, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores. We have given the paper-wise tabular representation of the marks distribution for GATE papers along with the marking scheme.

GATE Marking Scheme

As per the marking scheme for GATE exam:

  1. For MCQs, 1 mark each will be rewarded for every correct answer and 1/3 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
  2. For MCQs carrying 2 marks each, 2/3 marks is deducted for every incorrect response.
  3. For NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions, there is no negative marking.
