Bihar Board Exam 2023: Over 13 Lakh Students to Appear, Find Details

New Delhi, 31 January – Bihar Board Exam 2023 – Bihar is set to host the annual Intermediate examinations, which will be taken by more than 13 lakh boys and girls at 1484 centres on February 1, 2023.

Eighty exam centres have been set up in Patna alone where a total of 79,641 examinees, including 41,953 girls, will be appearing for the Class 12 exams. 

Bihar Board Exam 2023: Important Details for Students to Know

  • The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has assigned each examinee a unique ID number for the first time, making it easier to identify them.
  • This year, there will be 100% more questions for the students. Students previously had to respond to 50 objective-type questions; now, they will receive 100 questions, of which they must respond to any 50. 
  • In a similar vein, students will receive additional subjective-type questions.

Bihar Board Exam 2023: Guidelines for Students

  • A student must arrive at the exam centre 10 minutes before the exam starts. Students who show up after the specified time will NOT be permitted to take the exam.
  • Before entering the exam centre, students will undergo a frisking.
  • The BSEB has devised a method to assist students who have misplaced or left their hall tickets at home. Students will be verified in these cases by their scanned photo and roll sheet.
  • Students must turn in their OMR sheets by 11 am during the first shift and 3:15 pm in the second shift
  • Students will have 15 minutes to read the question paper.
  • In an official notification, the BSEB has urged students not to bring an electronic watch, smartwatch, or magnetic watch into the exam centre. Students are permitted to wear analog watches.

Bihar Board Exam 2023: Other Interesting Details

  • In order to prevent anyone other than students from entering the premises, the government has put Section 144 into effect 200 metres from the exam venue. 
  • CCTV cameras have been installed to ensure smooth conduct of exams. There is a videographer assigned for every 500 students. 
  • Each invigilator would have to provide an affidavit attesting to the thorough frisking of all 25 examinees under their supervision and the absence of any objectionable materials from their possession.
