New Delhi, August 18, 2023 – AIBE 18 2023 – Bar Council of India (BCI) has invited applications for the 18th edition of All India Bar Examination – AIBE-XVIII (AIBE-18). A candidate can apply on the official website of AIBE on or before September 30, 2023.Β 

Registration for the 18th edition of AIBE 2023-24 exam has already begun on August 16, 2023. The exam is essential for obtaining the Certificate of Practice (COP), which enables a candidate to practise law in Indian courts.

The AIBE-XVIII (AIBE-18) 2023-24 exam is scheduled to take place on October 29, 2023. It will be conducted at multiple examination centres across India.

  • Applicants who have passed or obtained 3-year LLB or a 5-year LLB degree from a university recognised by the Bar Council of India.Β Β 
  • An applicant must be registered with the State Bar Councils (SBC) as an Advocate (Provisionally).
  • State Bar Council enrollment is mandatory for AIBE eligibility.
  • There are no age restrictions for participation in the AIBE exam.Β 
  • Law graduates should possess a valid enrollment certificate.
  • They must complete the AIBE examination within two years of enrolling with any State Bar Council (SBC).
  • Applicants, who are not enrolled as an advocate with the SBC, cannot apply for AIBE 2024.
