New Delhi, 4 May 2021 – Due to the persistent surge of COVID-19 across India, the National Testing Agency has postponed the JEE Main 2021 May exam. Earlier today, NTA had only informed about the delay of JEE Main May registration process 2021. However, at 3:30 PM, Union Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank officially announced the postponement of JEE Main May session exam via Twitter.
Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students safety in mind, JEE (Main) – May 2021 session has been postponed .

He stated that in the light of the current COVID situation and to keep the students safe from the pandemic, the JEE (Main) – May 2021 session has been postponed.
JEE Main 2021 – What Happened Earlier?
The exam authority, NTA, was previously expected to commence the JEE Main May application process from 3rd May 2021 at www.jeemain.nta.nic.in. However, this schedule, for now, has taken a backseat.
Earlier, the JEE Main 2021 April session was also postponed due to the raging pandemic. Back then, no updates were published by the NTA regarding the May session exam.
JEE Main 2021 – Current Outcome
Initially, NTA had announced the JEE Main exam dates for the May session; which was scheduled to commence from 25th May and continue till 28th May 2021. This final phase exam was supposed to take place for both the Papers (1, 2A, and 2B), i.e., BTech along with BArch and BPlan.
While the JEE Main May session exam 2021 has officially been postponed, it is now up to the exam authority to reschedule the exam and declare the precise dates of this exam. Alll in all, candidates must keep an eye on the official website of JEE Main and NTA to get the latest updates.
